Still need to cover the seat pad, get new tires, new fiberglass front fender, paintable tank (the stock tank and fender are for another bike), and Kawasaki-green paint job.

Oh, also, because I raised the rear a little, the bike leaned over more than I wanted on the side stand. I couldn't find a longer one at the time, so I figured out a way to make the existing one stand straighter. I just heated the upper curve to a dull red-hot using a mapp gas torch and hammered it straight. It was the equivalent of adding two inches to the stand.

I also found a longer 550 stand on ebay, but don't know what it's from.

Thanks guys!

Before removing the battery and starter it weighed about 425 lbs. I figure it weighs about 410 to 415 lbs now. (with gas and other fluids)

Maybe a dumd question Lou but how do you start it since the 550's don't have a kick starter?

Looking great Lou. Can't wait to see her green.

As for starting, push/bump start.
