Neat little bikes.
I have a silver one that needs to be totally redone. Problem I heard about these bikes is the mechanical front brake sucks on them. Doesn't matter on mine because I already have a CB350 front wheel/brake to put on it.
I think they only imported them for three years, they were pricey for what they were and didn't sell all that well compared to other models or brands.
They are kinda unique though and that's why I got mine and am going to turn it into a cafe/race style looking bike.

Some of these front disks were mechanical. Just cable operated. I know the '79 KZ200 had a cable operated/mechanical front disk brake.
Nice work on the 750.

so heres some up dates, motor is all painted and going back together, had to take a break with the cold winter, pics to come soon.....
any ideas on what oil to run? as a car mechanic i made the stupid mistake to think that car oil and bike oil was the same, so this time around i wont have a slipping clutch at high rpm's

I'm believer in using Rotella T (diesel oil) 15-40. I use this in my 79 Chevy 3/4 ton (350 motor) and in my 79 Honda CX500. I'll be using it in my newly acquired 79 Kawy 650SR.
The Rotella T (made by Shell) has some great properties and seems to becoming popular with motorcycle enthusiasts.
just my 2 cents

well after a long summer and a new baby boy, i got a chance to get the bike back together, fired up the motor, and got the tin straight and in primer. also got the seat pan formed and quickly put some foam and vinyl to check the fit, still have to fill in and smooth the rear fender and fab up a license plate holder, and fab up the foot pegs i got from a kz900 to move the shifter and brake pedal back. hope to be doing the bike in a dark orange and satin black, still need to refinish the Yoshimura exhaust, and maybe add a GPZ 550 front fender.
any commets or ideas please let me know, this is my fist bike so i dont know everything, but i have restored and built plenty of cars and also have a machine shop next to where i work, so it makes things easy
