here my buddy dale is painting my motor.

and here he is polishing my engine covers while i jeweled the slide on his .45.

and here is the work i traded for him to polish my covers.

the covers all polished, and some "motivational" patron!hehe

painted and ready to install.

the "ride of shame"after the coils burnt, and the megaphone bolt fell out.(something about extended
8500 rpm's)didn't lose my megaphone tho.

Looks good that wheel now!
It some kind of camouflage better now, since the front wheel also got black color.
I will join the different wheel club for a while...

yes i believe that the black does help camouflage the wheel difference, especially when moving hehe.
also the patron has a dual effect,of motivating and for focus  haha.

Hey Blackbanshee, seems we have a great deal in common . I'm a toolmaker, Banshee owner,Z1-R owner, fabricator
66 Chevelle owner....... heh , great minds think alike . I like the swinger fab up. The extra two inches aught to give it a more stable ride at 120 + ? I can't wait till you put some real shocks on it and test the rigidity of that nice looking swing arm.

Getting back to the +2 in the rear. My Z never really gave me a lot of knee dragging confidence with the stock length swinger and factory shocks . How did that effect the ride and handling in the twisties ? Can you tell if it is more rigid over the factory unit ? I'm looking for answers to get my bike to turn is all, not picking your work apart . Great project. Keep up the good work!!

Someone once told me to marry that motorcycle I was riding ......there's times I wish I hadda listened .

a great deal in common for sure.the extra length i don't think plays as much of a role as the 200mm
rear tire does.the swingarm being much more rigid than stock also adds to the feeling of confidence.
it was a very worthwhile mod and my bike corners night and day better.i can't wait to mod the
frontend to accept a modern wheel, tire and brake.leaned over hitting bumps in high speed corners
used to skip the tire sideways, now it just stays planted.i'm draggin my header on corners that i
never drug at all before.i have ohlins shocks that are to big at the springs to fit next to the
big tire.i had to space the stockers out 3/8's to clear.not sure what i am going to do for shocks
yet.

Great Job looks alwsome you sure do have the skill was wandering about your 520 sprocket, I read a lot here with some saying 520 are to weak for a kz because I thought about doing that untill guys said that I would either spit the chain out the back or replace every spring, I've got pics of my project here also always looking for tips, hey can you post some pics of that homemade tube bender always wanted to make one, where you located?

bigblockt,i love my 520 chain and sprocket's and anyone that says they won't hold up is incorrect.it is a very common coversion on late model sport bikes that make in excess of 150rwhp.i have a non oring chain and was hoping it would stretch some as i cut it so short that at first it was rubbing my swinger a little.i have about 600 miles and just now got it to stop rubbing, although the chain is still a little tighter than i like.i would not hesitate to put a 520 on any street kz.i will never buy another 630 just because i see no reason when busa's come factory with 530.my tubing bender is manual.i will have to get some pictures.there is one i have found that is hydraulic jack powered that i would like to build for bigger tubing.i will find the link and send it to you.
i'm in northeastern oklahoma(skiatook),where are you located?

I live Indiana(Fort Wayne)I'm running a 190 rear tire in a zx6 swingarm do you think you custom sprocket would work for me? I know that the busa uses a 530 I just was not sure of the 520, how many teeth are you running front, rear and what would you charge for one of those front with 18 teeth?

Looks so good that I'm on my way with my Z1R on my trailer...be there in the morning...don't know how I'll pay...however, I have spied your 'kryptonite'...your weakness for excellent 'spirits'...hmmmm....bottle of Pinch and a bottle of Crown and I'll have you knocking my new swing-arm out in no time. :)

Just kidding; but it is seriously good looking! Very well done. And I might have to take a trip down to see it in person.
