I see you changed the head. I am thinking a lot of my problems are related to trying to use the fuel injected head with the carbs.
Your information about the cams is really food for thought
Looks great.

looks awsome, but you may want to run those oil cooler lines inbetween the carbs and over the motor to the oil cooler, even though those lines are braided, that rubber hose will melt, thats what happened to my buddys kz1000. the bike looks really nice though, keep up th good workB)

where did your neck angle end up falling?
my guess is you're pretty close to 20 degrees, maybe between 18 and 20.
try dropping the rear a little bit to put some more rake in it. that might slow down the steering enough to avoid going with a damper.
or, if you have some room, drop the front tubes down in the clamps. or a little of both.
just my .02.
mine was sitting at 19/20 degrees with the 636 top clamp and clip ons. i put a z1000 clamp on, and i gained 2.5 more degrees because it allowed me to drop the front tubes lower. i'm kind of stuck with the ass of my bike in the air, because that's the look i want.

Hey solomus im using the Z1000 top clamp myself with the Z bar mounts. I milled off the original ignition switch housing, then made an adapter out of aluminum that mounts to the two tabs that are on the Z clamp. That way im using the orig KZ ignition and gauges.
Mark, i got the headlight bracket from Chaparral, front end is from a 04 Zx636
