Hey Kano, just went through most of your thread. Add me to your list of mod fans. I really appreciate what you have done. You made the ole KZ your very own. I am also over on the ZRXOA.org message board. Lots of blokes over there are totally into the proper color. Congrats on the project coming together AND wish you the best on your next one.

Kano,
Great stuff brother, I'm obviously a fan. I can't believe that you went into the "630/530" zone and didn't generate about 73 pages of "do it/don't do it" discussion! :woohoo: At any rate, I always love following the details of your work...drive on, man!

As I learned in my project... something to think about....
As long as you match or go up in size on the cc sprocket, should be fine.... Reasoning, modern swing arm pivot tubes are huge compared to old kaws....
This is going to be so sweet... keep them images coming...

i lucked out on swing arm,
i bought a pre converted rgv swing arm and it was too narrow for the gsx-r wheel hence the gsx-r swinger. anyway the rgz swinger had already been converted to a kz1000,
so i pushed out its pivot bolt spacer and it slotted right in no probs,
the gsx-r swingarm just got back from being welded off island, had to add a pair of shock mounts,
so tomorrow my wheel spacers get here,
sprocket gets here Monday then gets shipped of to leon
for converting to 5/8 offset.
below is the rgz swing arm.
its up for grabs if anyone is interested.

So for the last couple of months I've been working on a gsx-r (02) rear end conversion on my kz1000j1 below are the picture's.
tomorrow is a day ive been kind of dreading for a while,
I'm going to strip down my kz1000r and transfer all parts onto the "j" frame.
