Hello all...

So after many years, I'm back to biking.
So this jewel used to belong to my Father-in-law.
Many years ago, mid 80s, his beautiful daughter and I rode a V65 Sabre. Big Gary as he was known, (his son is little Gary), bought this baby and accompanied us on many rides. Family obligations made it easier to get rid of ours. Big Gary quit riding also but kept the bike garaged for years. Sadly he passed last April and my wife and I were the only ones interested in doing anything with the bike. So....after years of sitting, I am excited to begin the process of restoring it.
I'm looking forward to learning a lot here. Thanks to all in advance.

Welcome. Nice bike and sorry you had to get it that way. I'm sure big Gary would want you to have it and his legacy will live on. B)

Great looking KZ you got there BigGee!
It's very cool that you know the bike's history and even have memories of riding with it before.
I'm sure Big Gary is happy to know the ol' bike is in your hands now. Aren't we all just caretakers for the next generation in the end?
Congrats man. Looks like a little spit 'n polish and that baby is ready to roll.
