Ive been lurking this forum for several years, started shortly after getting my 77 KZ650. I did join over at KZ650info, great bunch of knowledgeable guys there. With their help, a bunch of time, a bunch of money and a bunch of cussing I finally completed her just a week or 2 ago. I brought her back to about as stock as possible and practical. Shes my daily rider (reason for the tail bag) and shes fun in the twisties. Cant wait to take her up to the N GA mountains for some fun.
Well a few months ago I got another KZ. A 1982 KZ1100. Pretty good condition, did need some work though. I affectionately call the previous owner Mr Wire Nut. He should never be allowed to have a wrench or wire cutter in his hand
The 1100 is going to be my travel bike for me and my girlfriend. We have already taken it on a short 200 mile trip. WOW......with that Vetter fairing and the whole bike in general is the most comfortable bike Ive ever been on.............and Ive been on a LOT
Heres a pic shortly after I got it. Yes that seat is the ugliest monstrosity that could be on a bike............its also the most comfortable Ive ever been on It will be getting recovered.
And a pic of our first trip on it.
