New member from Texas!

Hello all. I just recently bought a 1980 kz440B one owner bike with 3k miles on it. The bike needed a little work but is now road worthy with the exception of a front brake cable, which seems impossible to locate. This is my first Kz, but I have 6 other bikes and have been riding since I was about 12years old. Great site!

$45 a little steep but being a brake cable and the front one, I'd rather pay a little more and know I can stop. B)

Thanks for the compliments and welcomes. I tried that site. I've been on the back order list for a few months now. Also tried to get the cable that was on ebay for $90. Were these little suckers somewhat rare or noboby wanted a 440...lol? I've searched high and low low a cable. I ride it all the time, but really want to get it out on a road trip. Just can't bring myself to do it without a front brake cable.

My name is Tim by the way.

Man that's a sweet ride you found. I love the 440. I might be talking out of my ass, but I think the drum brake on the front is a little more uncommon, and in turn the cable that goes to it. Probably pretty easy to find different rims and switch to disk, but I like the look of drum and spoke rims myself. I'm just to lazy to keep them looking nice.
- good luck

Steve

I just paid 50 bucks for a OEM clutch cable to replace the 17 dollar motion poo back up cable I have :pinch:

I'm not sure if your cable is available through Kawasaki, I'm sure you checked.

If you still have the outer casing a lot of shops will make the cable with new ends for pretty cheap
