Hey, I've been lurking for a while now grabbing bits of info about a kz440 I figured I should probably say hello.

I picked one up late last fall to have something to play with in the garage over the winter.

Here's a pic of what I bought and a quick video of one of last Thursday's first series of starts after some minor engine and carb work. I'll put a full project thread up when it's done if anyone wishes.

I have to say though, I was just visiting the project thread and some of those are far nicer than what I'll be rolling out in the spring.

Maybe you had too much too fast.

Please do post a project thread. It will help you and others and we are always interested / enjoy seeing one of these KZ come back to life. You may find your bike will evolve over the years to become a gem just like the projects that you have quoted. Welcome aboard!

Welcome.
Nice bike!
Always had a soft spot for the kz440 as it was my first Kawasaki and IMHO, the LTD styling got everything right on a bike that a daily driver could want.
