My new 79 KZ 1000 MK ||

New to the forum and hoping you can help me out. I could see an old bike sitting out back of one of my Boy Scouts homes whenever I would drop him off. I asked him about it a few times but he didn't know about it. I finally talked with parents about it and they said they were original owners and would sell it to me for $400.00. I had it sitting in my garage when a guy came to look at a bobber I had for sale and couldn't leave the KZ alone. Said he would give me $3,000 for it. Decided to look into it more and embarresed to say I never realized what I had.... Just liked it cause it had complete old fairings, detachable saddle bags, and nice engine. Thanks to the forum I looked up site to verify engine and it appears to be the MK 11. I told the guy no thanks on his offer but just curious about value and looking for input down the road.

Trying to get some pictures loaded but can't seem to make it work. I was reading another post that said you couldn't do it from phones anymore on here is that correct.

Thanks for the input.... It's been fun going through the bike the last few days since bringing it home. BUT my new Pistons just showed up for my CB 450 I'm redoing for my wife. So I moved the KZ to the back of the garage and covered it. I'm sure once I get started on it though I'll be bugging you again with lots of questions. Thanks again.

Welcome. Depending what it will be used for you may want to take off the big faring and put on just a wind shield. Put up more pics when you get back to it.
