While I can appreciate having a goal, keep this in mind. I know at least a dozen people who have built their 'never sell dream bike/car/truck' and did just that, either half-way thru the project or as soon as it was done; and came out way behind on the costs of things, due to zero interest, KZ's are now collector bikes, that's the truth of it, no longer are they old junk motorcycles.

That being said, go for what you want, and have fun

Hmm thinking maybe a kz and switch and make a scrambler. I'm thinking a harley for a cafe racer.

XR120P it's a harley that's designed for racing instead of cruising. It's a beautiful bike.
