Retail auto parts whore. I opened and run an Advance Auto Parts store in the home of the U.S. Navy's Atlantic
Fleet-- Norfolk, Va. My shop is located less than a mile outside the main gate of the largest Navy base in the word and I an therefor dependent on the Navy for both my FREEDOM and my lively-hood. The former much more than the latter!

I originally started out starving in photography, fell kinda backwards into Cable then Broadcast TV master control and some production, kinda drifted into post production hell - but never wanted to do any of this (except the photography).
Eventually after a lot of hard work I got a chance to work indirectly with the Black Hills Institute of Geological Research making molds for them here. That crapped out thanks to the guy that was running the show here. Moved over to Research Casting Inc doing some fossil prep, molding, casting and mounting skeletons for museum displays, mostly dinosaurs. Worked some on my own doing research for paleo film, exhibits, prep work and TV. Also worked with Hall Train on and off for a while doing exhibits.
Research Casting moved even further away, a lot of work dried up and I developed an allergic reaction to one of the components in epoxy resin, so....
Went back to Broadcast Master Control, changed over to the department that screens DVD before release and formatting and screening programs for air. No, I don't like it, but have to work somewhere. All I ever really wanted to do was paleo work.

Been a licenced millwright for 15 years. I was just "Temporarily Laid Off" as the maintenance mechanic/manager at a injection mold manufacturer after 10 years service. Looking for something that pays well but is enjoyable too ;)

Right now I work in the shipping department for a company that make wireless alarm systems( think adt) and senior living aids ( think I've fallen and can't get up buttons.). Before that I worked for six years shipping industrial safety equipment for the mining industry.

I used to tell folks I was in pest control but, actually, I'm a retired Supervisory Border Patrol Agent. So now all I have to do is play with the bike(s), the Baja Bug, Momma's new Jeep KJ and go fishing and 4-wheeling.

Life is rough.:P
