Triple tree custom work

Right on, seems fairly straight forward whichever way you look at it there is work to be had fabricating and such...

Anyone have thoughts on reusing the ZX6 stem and machining it to size and spec of the KZ stem? I know the KZ stem is steel and the ZX is aluminum. It seems the ZX stem wis larger and can be milled down and threaded to KZ specs. At least doing this vs. cutting and making bushings instead? 

I have used a ZX6R stem in ZX9R trees (more off set - stem is longer than the 900) these are 98-2000 parts for 46mm RWU forks. The top bearing is the stock 82 KZ as the 6R stem is the same size at the top. At the bottom I have reduced the 6R stem to take the KZ bearing and replaced the removed material with a stainless insert pressed into the hollow centre far enough to finish above the bearing so reinforcing the area subject to the most stress. This was way cheaper than a custom stem

So far it has been coming along just great! Will have to update with full project photos soon

Finally had the time to get some work in. Turned out a lot better than anticipated!

I only missing the front fender, steering bar end mirrors and some Beston/Amal Style rubber grips.....
