What did you paint the forks with?

I swear my wheels say tubeless on them. Most likely though I will just throw heavy duty tubes in anyways.
I used Duplicolor Hi-Build fleet coating primer , and then Duplicolor Acrylic Enamel . Although it might be better to go with this for the color coat.

Can you share a PIC? Not that I don't believe you, but the proof is in, well... I know my 79' SR rims are not tubeless, although I did run my rear without a tube for a bit. I remember there were discussions @ KZ Info about this, along with the pros/cons and there was a cut-off date. Sorry, don't remember the date...

My 440 runs tubes. Front is from a 400 (watch out for the different brake rotor offset) and definitely doesn't say tubeless, so it's got a tube. But I had no doubt the rear takes a tube. From what you're saying, I should check my rear wheel. Fairly sure it doesn't say tubeless, but it was a long time ago when I looked. The aperture for the tyre valve on both wheels is smaller than for tubeless valves. I think it requires tubes on both front and rear mate. Check it to be doubly sure.

I have no idea where I got the idea they wheels said tubeless, took a closer look today and nothing.

Dealing with a broken off tap in the god damn exhaust stud hole right now. Tomorrow i'm going to get a large o-ring to cut into a plug for the carbs as I lost the originals.
Also trying to find some foot pegs that I like that will fit this bike as the stock ones were too bulky and ugly.

OK... yes, if the word "TUBELESS" is not on the rim... have a tube ready!

Tubeless rims also have small ribs around the inside to help retain the tire beads.

Vacuum plugs work for the carb plugs if you sand them down a bit.

If these carbs a like my KZ305 carbs, be carfull not to push the plugs in so far that it blocks the fuel passage from the main jet. Also, they should extend long enough so they are held in place by a tab in the bottom of the float bowl.
I had to faburcate those plugs when I first got this bike, but your solution looks much simpler.

Alright so I bought a rubber gasket for some agricultural equipment and cut it into little plugs to fit the carb.
I got it running today, on break cleaner as I didnt have gas on hand.
