All I did was to lightly sand the painted areas just to clean them up and have some tooth for the new paint and avoided hitting the lettering. Then I just shot black over the whole thing let it sit for a second then wiped the top of the lettering with a rag that had a little lacquer thinner on it. I just kept wiping it til the letters were all clean.

The 810cc kits are tried and true.  Yes, the sleeves get thin, but it's been proven over thousands of kits to be a reliable setup.

That said, I agree that it's a big overbore, and I personally wish there were some smaller kits on the market.

I'm not sure where you live, but APE in the USA charges about $200 for a bore job.

Ya, he wouldn't do it and said he'd suggest some shops in Cali. I really dont want to go overboard , lol, on this build. I will on my ELR motor. So for the sake of getting it running I think ill go with the .050 piston set up on fleabay for $290. Plus the shop guy said it would take alot to cut the bore that much and that adds to the cost!

750 R1. Did you do the overbore yet? I was told by the machine shop that it would make the lower part of the bores to thin and would risk warping or heat damage and they would have to run it through the bore machine so many times that it would be like $400-$500 bucks also! He said If I wanted that installed id have to have it resleeved which is way more then I wanted to spend. Did you check into the machining yet?

Yeah mate, there's enough sleeve  left, these kits have been fitted to the gpz's  since the early 80's, lots of them on the forum here too, my mate in the UK has been racing with his 810cc kitted GPZ for years with no trouble. My friend is doing the bore for me and he's done a few... No need to re sleeve..
