Found this hashtag on Insta yesterday, thought you might like it, scroll down a bit to see the bike on display somewhere.

Yea i figured you would have a handle on the reference side, there are quiet a few detailed pics on that hashtag, lovin where you are heading with the tank.

The tank, or more precisely , the cap, has been giving me headaches, I really didn't want to mod the tank but that's the way its going, It should look the part when done. I have a small tank I can use until I get that one right.   The misses has been telling me to paint the bike black, she really likes the colour as it sits, as its only a tribute bike I'm toying with the idea of changing the 3 colours around, painting the bike black and having the yellow stripe with a blue border, trying to picture what it would look like is the problem....

that looks super nice. There is also ACC billet - very reasonable price for what you are getting. dunno what shipping is like from South Africa though.

Thanks, I have had that second one bookmarked for a while now, Its made for the slingshot GSXR's, I think its bigger than the one Rich has. Is your GSXR a slingshot ?  If It is , could you measure the section of the tank its made to fit, I did at one stage and forget where I put the measurements...

Sorry I dont have slingshot gsxr. I have Slabside and SRAD

No worries Doc, I found the measurements in my files, {100's pieces of paper with stuff written on them everywhere !}

Not my best work but this is what you get with 10 min down time. 

Thanks man, that actually helps a lot, although the blue pinstripe is to wide   !!!   j/k....

So I made a start based on just the height and width measurements and diameter of the chambers and a whole load of common sense and guess work from the photos but this is just to see if I’m on the right page but it will all be for nothing if the caps you will be using have any form of lip, anyways…
