I checked on another forum where I saw photos of 91006 S/N without the oil capacity. So the change occurred after that point.

I have several restored bikes along with a 2006 Goldwing with a sidecar. My wife has a 2019 Suzuki DR 650 for on and off road.

Well after several calls and threatening to come get my parts finished or not, the guy finally polished the lowers. The front calipers and bracket arrived Monday from vapor hone so hopefully I’ll have the front end complement this weekend...

I need help sizing a split pin aka roll pin. I don’t now if you order the pin to the hole ID, and the friction fit is factored in. Need help. Or maybe someone can help me and give me the size. It’s the roll pin that indexes a top cap to the inner damper of the front fork. Also can anyone help source the phonolic ring at the top of the attached photo.

EDIT
Found the damper piston rings.

Roll pins come in compressed sizes. IE - a hole 1/8" diameter would use a 1/8" roll pin. The compressed size should be factored into the pin.

Thank you. Obviously no way to get a digital caliper to measure the hole. I do have a letter and fractional drill bit set I can use to determine the hole ID.

Not the best composition but calipers are painted... they turned out nice. Vapor hone before paint is well worth it

Probably something no one would ever notice but just the level of detail I want to get to on this build. I didn’t like the dull finish the vapor hone left so I polished the exposed recess for the caliper bolt spacers and the pad B metal retaining washer live. But doing so I boogered up the paint. VHT can says after 1 hour if additional coats are needed you must wait 7 days. Well I know what I’ll be doing next Sunday.

Well I’m feeling Skidmarks pain. I can’t catch a break. Messing up the fresh caliper paint started it. Maybe it was the four weeks I waited for the front forks but something has started a rough spot. So I’m seriously disappointed in the fork polish job. I got them out in the sun today and yuck. What a crappy job, I was so looking forward to getting them assembled today. So the are packaged up and off to a second guy for a repolish. He’s only charging me $20 but it’s more down time. I’m taking advantage and sending him the rear sprocket carrier, the points cover and clutch cover. Let’s hope this time I get timely tur around and a better job.

Still having trouble finding the correct roll pin for the top cap on the fork inner damper. I measured and came up with 3 x 20 mm. I stopped at a small engine repair shop and bought a couple. And to help my chances I bought a couple 1/8” x 1” and both are to big. Tomorrow I’ll try again.
