On the USPS, my new VIN decal was in a normal envelope (like a letter) - nothing special - and the tracking said it was in the Santa Ana, CA sorting warehouse for 8 days. a simple envelope sat for EIGHT DAYS without going anywhere! GRRRRRR!

Just heard the USPS has lost 78 billion in the last ten or so years. Nice our money is so well cared for. I’m down to getting mail every other day at best. Sometimes it’s 3 days between drops.

The USPS is almost worthless!!!!!! 3 out of the 4 boxes I shipped to AUSTRIA last year were shipped to Australia first!!!!! Close but no cigar!!! None were shipped close to the Christmas holidays either!!!!

NEVER!! NEVER!!! place the word "FRAGILE" on your package. Its like putting a target on your box!!!!!!!

Canadian and Italian customs are the worst as far as delays. 7 to 10 days is common time to clear either one. Quickest way to clear Italian customs is to write in big red letters "VIVA FERRARI" all over the box!!!!!

The book is on its way. Canada Post tracking number is LM139322185CA

My thoughts on postal service. You guys have great service! As Dr Gamma said, the border is a delay point. Canada Post is also very good. I've had parcels from Japan in 5 days. From the US is generally about 2 weeks for some reason.

On April 30 I made a gasket order with Z1 Parts. It was tracked to Los Angeles and then went into the bit bucket. Parcel finally arrived late June. Turns out the sorting center was shut down due to Covid and that's what caused the delays. Understandable I think.

I have several restored bikes along with a 2006 Goldwing with a sidecar. My wife has a 2019 Suzuki DR 650 for on and off road.

I love ordering parts from Z1Parts because they ship with FedEx. Can order Sunday night, and it's at my front door in Canada by Tuesday afternoon.

Ordered an oil filter from fortnine in Montreal. Took 6 days with Canada Post.

Have items shipping via USPS/Canada Post that have been somewhere between the two since July 24.

Been a minute. Brake crafters shipped out extremely fast. I got all excited I could put the calipers together. Well reality hit along with old timers disease when I went looking for the caliper parts. I found the mounting brackets stripped and ready for paint, unfortunately I never dropped them off at powder coat. A mind is a terrible thing to waste. Lol.

Another big hold up is the parts sent out for Plating. They turned around my first order in a 24 hr period, this time they have had them almost 6 weeks and I contacted them yesterday and some of my stuff is still sitting on the to-do shelf. Ugh!

Nah... All good. Not mounted yet. But they look great. To late in the season to pull it apart. Getting in my last few rides till the snow traps me inside. Then the front comes apart.

HardRockMiner,

For you, thanks for getting me back on the right path. The polished would look great but this looks correct.

Book arrived yesterday, I understand and agree with the cost. The detail to correctness is amazing. Thanks. I’m supposed to me getting something similar from Stefan Oehl on the 1976-77 KZ900 A’s and B.
