79 Shaft Scrambler Build was created by jnash40
Bought this bike in multiple pieces. Always had a thing for the older bikes.. although this is the first I've built. Everything was taken apart and casually thrown in boxes. It came with a manual thank goodness. The hope is a budget scrambler build. Not my first bike build but I'm no professional by any means.

Waiting on Gaskets and a few other parts to assemble the engine.. need to fab a hoop up for the seat and decide on ride height.

Welcome intrepid bike builder!
I'm glad to see others here who are staring fearlessly at a bike in boxes. I was beginning to think maybe I was the only one?

Got some VHT on the motor last night....and a pic of another project that is taking up my precious time..but oh so worth it.

Still need to clean up the gasket mating areas. Have some more pics tonight hopefully. :)

Thanks for the reply guys! New to the site but I lurked around for a bit, Figured if I post a build it would keep me more accountable. No promises ;)

Ordered some more stuff from Z1... still need my oil seals and gaskets to come in the mail. Had a bad round of Golden Corral so no garage time tonight !!! HA I did find a picture of what happened a few days ago.. We found some Go karts on our hunting lease and the owner let us have them for dirt cheap. I welded some new spindles and bought a new motor and came out with a pink kart for the wife. Enjoy more bike pics tomorrow!

That's some cool custom exhaust you got on the go cart! Nice work. If that's any indication of your bike building skills I can hardly wait to see what happens next! :)

That exhaust is just some nasty galvanized conduit that I hacked and tacked to make what we call th "hater" pipe....mainly because the nieghbors don't like it ;)

Thanks for the kind words though fellas I look forward to getting to weld some more.
