If you go with springs and THEN decided you wanted to add the emulators, you could run into problems, because the emulator and adapter stack will put too much preload on the springs. shorter length springs require longer spacers for this very reason.

Sorry man, I have no idea of the context of this question, Are you referring to a specific post? Mind quoting that post and if I can answer you, I will?

Sorry this reply went awry. It had to do with the set of carbs you were cleaning and needing a part for. I have lots of Mikuni's and I might have been able to help you.

Sorry Steve no 33's. Mostly 28's & 26's. I just rebuilt a set of 38mm Mikunis for my big block 1327 and I'm absolutely loving the throttle response, especially from low rpm's.
