Glad you like it so far. The tail light is tucked in as far as it will go. If you look back in my build a few pages you will see what the tail light looks like prior to install and what I had to do to make it work. There were gaps on the side also that have been filled in. The light is off of an '01 honda 600RR.

The bars are Renthal and came with the brace. I was going to take it off but the mounts left marks on the bars so I left it on. It's growing on me anyway and fits the whole street fight theme anyways.

Thank you. The final color will be dark metallic blue with metallic silver stripes, hence the silver frame and dark blue engine. Stay warm up there in Canada.

I'm coming into this discussion late but its been a great read this morning and what a great build. Congratulations to you sir.

One helpful comment. I have the same fairing and it looks and fits great. The one downside is that the little hardware that the holds the windshield to the fairing body rusts very quickly, especially the washers. I would recommend finding some better quality hardware or refinishing these little bits as you are working on the other little bits.

I'm going to enjoy following this to it's first ride.

Thanks for the info on the hardware, I actually decided not to use the fairing. At least not on this build.

This build is really hard core mate ! Very impressive....I went through the thread quickly since its bed time soon.
Bud I need to know what happend to the black carbs, I just loved them.
Will steal that concept right off for my bike :lol:

Ya, I did't want to hurt your feelings, I couldn't use the file you sent. The guy says it works for shirt graphics but not for vinyl.
So I decided to remake them here is a pre-view, lettering will be in metallic silver vinyl.




Here are a couple of pics of the body work I picked up today.






The pin stripe scheme will be stock placement only silver.



Right now I am in the middle for porting and polishing the head so I can get the motor reassembled.

Oh, I splurged on one of these also, Power Arc Ignition. Some call it the C5.



I machined these with my brother a couple of weeks ago. They are engine spacers to match the rear sets that Les Holt made for me a couple years back.

I agree, Les did a great job on them.
