earth tones ..not really my thang :ohmy: :pinch: :pinch: out of what you posted ...........red,black and mustard looks the best..... IMO

but it's your bike , paint it how you like..your opinion is the only one that really matters.

this thing is a hot rod. Red is for Hotrods. Go read my man. It is the only color for this bike IMHO.

I say this gray/silver but not yellow accents so it doesn't clash with the gold and oranges

I'm with everyone on this one- looks too busy, and the colours don't really run with anything on the bike. Just an idea- but what about a metalflake midnight black with a candy apple red/copper clear coat to make the flake jump out in the clear colour?

Either that, or something to really contrast the wheels. That black that you had on the body work before looked mean. Or a nice metallic gunmetal grey, something to really make those wheels pop.

Sorry- one more post. Something like this, but with a different base. You should be able to get more candy coat colours. I'm not associated with this company, just posting to give you an idea of what I'm referring to.

You've already got a great accent color on the wheels and some other detail pieces. I'm surprised that you were not already planning to use that as the accent color on the bodywork.

Both the '73 and '74 Z1 came with orange stripes over brown. It seems to me that it would be cool to borrow the pattern from the '73 or '74, but use the same orange color from your wheels in place of the original.

As for the base color, I agree with 650mod that something dark like back or gunmetal would probably look nice, and be a bit more modern than the brown base used on the original Z1...

I´m quite firm wiht the graphics. Basecolor is up for discussion.
I´m thinking Hazel flake.

That's perfect. I like the way the gold stripe has that copper to gold fade.

Why is that bike sitting out in the rain?!?

I think this would work nicely if you could match (or get close to) the rim colour for the base coat.
