Thanx guys...your feedback keeps me doing that little extra :P

Got the swing arm to soak in diesel for a while. The plan is to clean it up and have it anodized black wiht some other stuff.

Anyone knows how to get the bearings out from a Yamaha R1 swingarm ?

I used the pivot bolt to pound the thinner one out then it was a lot easier to get access to pound out the thicker one. Yours might have the same thickness on both ends but either way the process is the same.

Yepp, got the bearings out... :woohoo:

Used the rear wheel axle to tap out the larger bearing when the small one was out.

Thanx again Holly,

Thanx Leon,

Yeah...it came out good. Could have gone with one long axel to the gear shifter axle.
But the middle part made it look more mechanical as you say. Will try to pack loads of small mechanical solutions in there :cheer:

Here´s one more:

Need a bracket for rear brake cylinder

The bell crank solution on your rear sets is genius! Helps with kickstand clearance, also?

Thanx Primer, yepp no more toes messing with the kick stand !
Did´net even think off that...when you mention it I usually have to move the kick stand forward a bit

One step forward two steps back..

Made the decision to reblaster some parts and send them off to black anodizing.
Hopefully this will give me that "factory built" look.
