Just a quick update, a little bike porn...

My custom turned velocity stacks finally showed up..

Dropped them on my new/used carbs that showed up (VM28 Pumpers) and it looks sexy....

Also my new Alpinestars showed up from the Bob's Cycle Supply sale... Just like Christmas....

Wow...look nice.... B) B)

How do they filter crap like sand, dirt, and other road debris that contaminate and damage carb slides and piston rings to name a few????????

The fine brass screen built in. Will probable throw some prefilter socks over them while I ride, then let the goodness shine....

Does anyone know, are the two outer bowls and the four tops (not the singing group...) are they polished or chromed? If chromed, can I get two more for the bottom or will I just have to have them chromed somewhere?

those are very nicely made sir.

you can buy uni brand filter material in a flat sheet.

then just cut the right size disk out of it and slip them in your stacks and voila filtered stack with no socks to remove.

here is a pic of some on a stack i machined on the buell blast i have/am chopped/chopping again.

I was wondering about doing that...I'll have to look into it.

BTW, I have always wanted one of those Blasts. I think would make a cool around town bomber! Would be easy to mod, cheap, etc...

Yeah it would being only a single. I would worry a little about the engine architecture being that is is half a Harley twin, supporting the increased cylinder pressures.... Would be cheap to repair though...

Do it and post pics!!
