'76 KZ900 (ZRX1200R) Build

No I did not get a response on that and I have tried numerous manufacturers. Every one says to get it line as closely as possible. Personally I think it would work, but would probable accelerate the wear. Who knows by how much, but probable. Long story short, went to a 5/8" offset and milling my my rear hub .210" should bring it into alignment and leave about .140" between the chain and frame and chain and tire. I decided against the spacer only due to the loss of spline engagement for the sprocket.

I have the following front sprockets if you are in need:

17 tooth - 3/8" offset - 530 Chain
17 tooth - 5/8" offset - 530 Chain

I have already purchased a 630 chain/sprockets, although if things do not come together as planned I will let you know. Thanks for the offer and look forward to seeing the bike in person. I will get a thread going over the holiday season.

I had a break through regarding the external alternator drive! I figured out how to make it work and keep the starter functional! I am going to U-Pull It auto salvage in Memphis TN over the holidays to retrieve my parts. Let's just say besides a Ducati clutch slave, it will also be equipped with Ford Escort parts.....

Once I get all this figured out, will write up a tutorial with pics and post on here.

As long as you are getting all belt driven you may as well add a blower :side:

As long as I could even find one if those Druidan (sp) blowers and get my pocketbook open far enough to pay for it!! Secondly, I got out bid on that Koenig/Mallory belt drive ignition...going for more than I can afford for just ignition even though it looked awesome! I did pick up a used Dyna S for $75 so I am good there. One reason I am OK about losing that bid is that those don't have auto advance, so their drivability on the street is a little compromised from what I hear.

I don't have the info anymore but when I was researching my DIY turbo project I run across some who were using superchargers off of 4 cylinder cars. What held meup is that I am not a machinist. I was also looking at an external charging system with it so I could run off that end of the crank. It was all beyond my redneck skills

You know rednecks are some of the first engineers! He'll, if it wasn't for some of that beer drinkin' inspired enginuity, NASA wouldn't be in Hunstville, AL!

I would bet they were using the Eaton blowers from the 4 cylinder Ford Super Coupe Thundrbirds. Otherwise there is the Eaton M90 from the V6 GMs like the GTP Grand Prix.

There's a funnybike that is using the M90 blower. Tried to find the article on his build but can't seem to find it.

There are a bunch of M90's on EBay now. Turns out that is the same frame size that was used on the Super Coupes. Pretty compact and would be reasonable to make work. I have a small turbo sitting around that I could run the calcs on and see if that would work...... Hmmmm....
