Adam, the holes in question are 3mm (0.118") diameter on 5mm (0.196") centers, and staggered.

that is the same thing i did to my Kerker. i was able to buy 1 of those baffles, and weld it to the Kerker end cap. mine is about 2 1/16" straight.
it works well for my 1200.
u may want to experiment. a smaller ID baffle will give u more bottom end if u feel u need it.
Nice job.on the baffle and the plastic welding.B)

I actually suspect that the baffle is a little big for my setup, but I thought I would give it a shot. I used the smaller half of the original tube, so it tapers from 2" down to 1 15/16" IIRC.

Dont forget to install a servo motor and butterfly valve for that added bottom end. :woohoo:

You mean one of these Mark?

I was wondering if it was worth the trouble to try and impliment it.....probably not since I can only drive it mechanically without an ECM.....

OH Yea baby, that's the 1.
just attach a bungy cord to the throttle and away u go.:woohoo:
wouldnt that be cool though if u could make it work.
Josh is ordering a throttle sensor for his 02 sensor. we'll have to get him to figure out how to tie the sensor to the exht.as well. :)

Meh.

Everyone who has a sport bike is trying to eliminate that thing. I ain't wasting my time trying to add it.

As far as my little science project, I'm still waiting on one sensor. Finally got my electrical connector, and a throttle position sensor. Unfortunately, the postal service seems to be holding my MAP sensor hostage.

I probably won't have any test results for a little while. I went ahead and removed the tank for body work. I'm hoping to spray some paint the week after Christmas.

I decided to put the bike on my insurance policy today. I should be able to go get my plates tomorrow. Then I can go get my safety inspection once the bike is assembled enough to run. That way I will be able to conduct more thorough tests. As it is, with no tags, I'm not willing to venture out of my subdivision.

These guys make a great eliminator, BTW. I know this is for a Duc but if you chat with him and you are looking to clean up, he may be able to get something set up for you.

Very nice plastic work! I suggest painting the vertical side parts of the fender a dif color than the top. To create some separation and emphasize the KZ look you're after.

I've made exhaust inner tubes from wire mesh many times. just roll a tube the size you want and wire it together. Then wrap with steel wool and glass. A bit crude, but you can't see it and I've been very pleased with the results on many bikes. You can tune the volume to your taste by changing the amount of packing.

Ya nailed it Nelson. I'm planning to paint the vertical elements of the fender black, and the horizontal part will match the blue in the rest of the body. I hope to show off some paint next week. Fighting the urge to get distracted by a certain Suzuki.

Ok now I'm stuck at home watching the kids for the next week, and I'm broke from Christmas. I have no choice, but to get the bodywork done and paint the damn thing. I pulled off all the small parts that need paint and blasted them.

I also decided to fill in the cutouts on either side of the tail piece that would clear the upper shock mounts.
