The rearset itself is actually quite creative, especially considering you crafted it out of plate or flat bar. Its pretty cool what you can make with a few power tools and a welder. :cheer:

as if my own projects don't consume enough of my time now your project is invading my evening and morning thoughts damn you testa  !

dirt bike pegs don't fit the "look"
sportbike pegs just look too modern
we need some muscle bike pegs
maybe a chunky aluminum version of stock pegs.

Leon, we are on the same wavelenght here. That's why I'm gonna work out some fabricated pegs. I just need time. I'm crazy busy right now, so I fear progress may be slow. I have the whole week of Thankgsgiving off, so I'm hoping to get something done then. That's when I'm not cooking turkeys for the big family shindig at my place. I really wish that the mill guys weren't so busy or we could bust out some pegs. However I can't cut in on the paying jobs.

So I decided to try my peg modification that I suggested before. Basically I cut out a piece of 22ga that covers the top half of my peg. Then I punched it full of 1/8" holes, and welded it to the top of my peg. Instant traction.

That looks pretty good. B)
does it seem like it will help with traction, now ? it just looks very smooth in the pic ?

It actually helps a little. Honestly, the only time I could see having a problem is if it were really raining to the point that everything was wet. Now, I don't intentionally ride in those conditions, but you do get caught out occasionally. I'll probably paint them with some of that textured non-slip paint or spray on bedliner for added insurance.

That is an improvement in asthetics Josh. I agree, a non slip rubber coating like Rhino Liner would be a good back up too. You could probably get it done for next to nothing if you have the shop spray it along with another customers truck. I forgot- I know you had to curve the shifter rod to clear the kickstand, but was that temporary or permanent?
