I just picked up this cool slim tail light for the bike. Im going to make a custom side mount plate holder out of some scrap metal i have laying around. Then probally shoot it with rattle can closs black to match everything else.

I made the sidemount plate/ brake light holder. I ended up making it out of .22 gauge sheet metal i had laying around, now i just have to wait for the light to arive. The batteries are dead in my camera, ill post some pics when it gets done charging.

Got a lot done today. I used some square tubing i had left over from the struts to raise the seat to clear the rear tire. And i made a sheild to keep my butt off the rear tire. I also put on the air box, anywho here are some pics.

looks like your having fun with the old girl isn't making stuff fit better than buying off the shelf and just bolt it on. i do believe i would somthing differant for the plate and tail light holder try some 1.5 by 1.5 1/4" angle alluminium for thr mount and a piece of 1/8" stainless for the backing plate it self it should hold up to vibration and wind pressure a bit better then a piece of bent sheet metal. is this a budjet type build if so what are you planning on spending total on it. because it is starting to come along quite well. ive often found road signs that i'm not impressed with work quite well as sheet metal discarded ones of course

Thanks timebomb:cheer: :cheer: :cheer: :cheer: . Ya this is a budget build for sure. I will do something different for the sidemount. I just wanted something so i can actually ride her a bit before she goes away. You are 100% right about making stuff fit it is so much better than buying something and just bolting it on. I dunno what im going to spend total on it, i think i have like 200 and some bucks in it now.
