Got the bike out after work tonight and made a few WFO runs down the street
and at wide open throttle it's working great..
Tomorrow I'm gonna check the output voltage on the tach for the shift light
and see if I can use it to trigger the shifter relay.

3 1/2 tenth's quicker but only one mph faster. don't sound right.

Checked the shift light out put and it looks like the tach powers up the light constantly
and use's a ground signal to turn the light on so swapped some wires around
but couldn't get it to work right kept blowing the ign. fuse it'd shift one time and pop the fuse.
I'm thinking it has to do with the way I've got the two relays tied together with one
applying 12 volt pos. and the other applying a ground so just put it back like it worked
and I'll just button shift it off the light tomorrow.

I just got home I'll do a race report in the morning.

I shoulda packed a new battery bike would start just fine cold then ride it to the
staging lanes and it wouldn't restart when warm. Push start and make a pass
get back to my pit let it sit and cool down it'd fire up then not restart in the staging lanes.

I get back to my shop taht night bike still won't start when I unloaded it go back Sunday morning
to finish unloading the van flip the switch on hit the start button motor turns over about two times and
fires up no problem F'in battery.

Too bad about the battery. How'd you do otherwise?

First round I had to keep the bike running in the staging lanes and it got hot and slowed down 2.5 tenths
and I got put out by 2.4 tenths. I could have bought back in but said F$%k it I'm not gonna take the chance of cookin
my motor and drank beer..

Hang in there Dave! You are doin' it! Others ain't! I would love to be out there, losing 1st round or even red lighting! Still great! & Cool!
At least you are there! That's what it is all about. You'll get it dialed in. You will be all set next season.
Keep at it! I've been there. I have not been on a drag bike at a strip in about 15 years! I miss the hell out of it!
