Man what a day!!!

So we got to the track about 8:30 and find a place to pit
and turn's out I'm pitted next to Curtis that did the machine
work on my motor and he came over to ask about how the bike's doing.

With not getting any test pass's yesturday I set the ign. at 35 degrees
total timing and the rev. limiter at 10,000 rpm's.

Time trail's started around 11:00 so go make my first pass
and after the rain last night the track's not hookin and blow the tire off
and go a 9.12@89 mph.
They did some more prep. work on the track and I go make a pass
go a 7.65@90.25 still spinning a little.

Decided to add some timing and bump the limiter up some
so talk with Curtis he said go 40 degrees and set the limiter at 11.000 rpm.
Make the change's and go make a pass by then there's some rubber down
and it went an 7.37@92.36 I'm gettin happy.

First round I dial a 7.35 and the bike go's a 7.34 and I go too fast I'm out.
Hit the tech shack and buy back in ($10 buck's) and on to round two.
Round two dial a 7.30 against a 7.00 in the other lane.
get the light and the bike wheelies and I chop the throttle and run a 7.50@91.35
dude I'm running go's a 6.63 on a 7.00 dial and I'm on to round three.

Round three same 7.30 dialin against a CBR 1000 with a 6.30 dial
I cut a good light and at half track he coming on like gangbusters
dude drive's around me and I can't run him down enough to make him break out
I'm done for the day time for a cold beer.

John I made two pass with the timing at 35 degrees first one it blowed the
tire up in smoke on a green track second pass after more track prep
it still sppun the tire some then upped the timing and it started to wheelie
so yes it helped the power.

As for fast time's the turbo Busa and ZX14's were going mid 4's at over 150 mph
that's why our track is now 1/8th mile only not enough shut down room.

The pit trike has been a big hit the two time's I've had it at the track
and could have sold it many time's for about $1500 so I think I'm going to
build a jig and start making some frame's and build a few

Next up is a tach and shift light then the software and an air shifter
set up to autoshift.

I need to do something with my clutch lever ever since I did the motor
swap I've had very little range of motion at the lever and it make's it hard
to slide the clutch out on launch and the APE clutch is REAL agressive
and that added to it.
My cable move's about 1/3" between on and off thinking I'll add about a 1/4"
to the arm at the cover.

So you're saying you want the engine side lever (and clutch plates) to move farther for the same amount of clutch lever travel, right? Wouldn't you need to shorten the arm at the engine side to increase the travel?

Or maybe you can find a clutch lever and mount with a longer distance between pivot point and cable mount point?

Either way, the pull gets heavier but the range of motion through the engagement range point would get wider.

Anyone make a hydraulic clutch conversion for the GPz750?

I'm not wanting to change the pressure plate traval just the cable traval.
By making the lever longer the cable end will have a longer range of traval
to rotate the lever.the same amount.
