Looks and sounds awesome, but i am getting some popping on deceleration which is pretty annoying. I'm trying to read up on causes but there's a lot of conflicting info - lots of folks seem to think it's normal. Maybe it is, but it sounds kind of sloppy to me. I've got a Factory Pro stage 1 jet kit installed as well as a K&N filter.

Could be slightly lean for some reason. Carbs out of sync will do that too.

Popping on decel is often a sign of a lean condition.

The CV carbs have a pilot airscrew, your may have an anti-tamper bungs fitted but adjusting these pilot airscrews will reduce the popping on the over-run.

I've already got mine three full turns out. Can try another half turn or two but at some point maybe I should just install a bigger pilot jet?

Go up one size on the pilot jet, it's running lean after the kerker install. Is it a bear to start on colder days?

Nice pipes, I've got an old Kerker on my 1980 550, and would get pops on deceleration. Just keep up on the carb tuning and idling, and it clears up.
