dude, I was tempted to bid on that seat, but I don't like the red piping. Glad you got it, hope it works for you.

I was suprised I got it for less than $200 since new they were over $400 :woohoo: and this one looks to be in great shape, plus Corbin no longer makes them AFIK  . Yeah the red piping would have looked out of place on your bike, but on mine I think it will be just about perfect, I'll post pics of it on the frame as soon as it gets here. Thanks for the kudos! :)

Reminds me of when my best friend sold off my 88 FZR1000 extended swingarm after I paid him for the bike....I was quite pissed. The swingarm is a Zx6R-F, thanks to Doug(StreefighterKz).

New seat came today! A few scuffs and one tiny rip but otherwise perfect, and it fits perfect! :woohoo:

Back in it today, no rest for the wicked. Lined up the timing marks, pulled the cams, head and jug so far. Video shows the play in the head to jug idler....guess I'll need a new one, but I've already put money aside for stuff like this.

OK a little update, talked to John Pearson today, and like everyone has said on the forum, super nice guy and ultra knowledgable. We settled on inspection for both crank and transmission, true and weld on the crank if everything checks out good, undercut and 2nd gear upgrade on trans with a street cut. I've also been looking at my cylinders and pistons and there are some really bad scratches on the pistons but the bores look like they could be honed and be ok. My dilemma is do I try to buff out the pistons to save money or do I buy a new 1015 kit? The pistons only have a few scratches that my fingernail hangs on,the rest are just very fine, but I'd hate to put it all back together and have piston slap or some other malady. I'm beginning to think the PO's kids poured sand into the oil fill as there are scratched cam bearings and I keep feeling grit every time I pick up a non-internal part.

If youre going to buy pistons you might as well measure the bores and see if theyll clean up with a 1075 kit,do not buff piston skirts B)

I think it has stock sleeves, do you have the tolerance handy? I did think about buying a piston and block kit but I'm trying to save as much money as I can, my sleeves are 73.5 mm O.D. taken from the bottom.
