Or could just eliminate the splitter, and fit dual lines from m/c to calipers.

I didn't go with that because I had just bought the "stock" kit.

Starting to finish up the brakes, although the plumbing isn't too cool! Had to order more lines. Thought I'd share a couple photos of my bars so far. I was hoping the anodizing on the levers would more closely match the pinstripes on the tank, but can't complain for $25. I may have to get the other aluminum bits I made anodized to match. Note for the purists: All the stock parts are in a box, and will stay with the bike, just prefer to do improvements, but like to make sure they are never permanent.

some light bead blasting would soften that gold color up and help it to match the pinstripes.

Looks fantastic. I'm doing a simular build. How do you like RFY shocks? I found them better than my worn out stock shocks but they needed nitrogen in them. I have info for a guy that rebuilds them. He replace the oil with quality oil and charges them with the proper amount of nitrogen. PM me if you need his info.

So I picked up a set of 28 pumpers...I didn't really take any photos of the rebuild process as it was kind (f bland.

1-disassemble everything(chokes and rack too)
2-soda blast Carb bodies, then with air
3-20 minute soak for the bodies and jet holders in Napa Carb cleaner.
4-using spray Carb cleaner, follow patrons method to pilot circuit perfection
5-installed a 17.5 pilot, and 120 mains. Just a starting point, but I figure that's what I'm running now on the pilot, and with the extra air of the bigger carbs, the bump up in mains might be spot on.
6-reassembled the rest, bench synchronize, and set float levels.

This is where I will add some extra photos and description, so I can link another member here.

1. A nice clean workspace is best, I built this Carb service table in minutes, worth every second. All that's requires is scrap wood, and old Carb holders.
2. Some type of fuel supply, I like to have a little bit of fuel overhead "pushing" on the needle valves.
3. I picked up this adapter off eBay, but the proper size nylon tube will "self thread" into the drain screw.
4. I like to scratch the set height right onto the side of the float bowls, I like 3.5mm, smack dab in the middle of the recommended range.
5. To adjust the range, I flex them ever so slightly with a small screwdriver, this is tedious, but less is more here, you don't want to over bend them and weaken them.
6. Once a satisfactory fuel level is achieved, I let each Carb soak for half an hour, just to be sure no fuel is bleeding through.
7. Above all, cleanliness is slightly more important than breathing here.

How about a longer banjo bolt with the lines stacked on stock splitter? :)

Ehh, I still wasn't to keen on that look, I'm happy with the block that I made, I slapped a yosh sticker on it for now, but would like to get the Kawasaki "K" engraved in it.

Boredom got the best of me while waiting Carb #2 out on the rack, shrink wrapped the choke lever because I thought it looked cheap, and painted the MIC logo

Look at the dirt I got out of there! These are spotless carbs, with fresh gas going through a filter, and still some dirt found its way into the mix! There are several chunks in there big enough to plug up a pilot jet. I just posted this to show how important it is to keep it clean.

Anybody know off hand how to adjust the needles on these carbs? There is some type of spring set up in there, and it seems that if different thickness washers were yo be used they would have yo go on top. Or are they non adjustable?

And by the way the k&l Carb kit for these was largely useless, the only thing I'm gonna use is the two gaskets, and the needle valve. Neither of the air screws that came in the kit even resembled mine.
