That might work but I think it would be too chunky. I'm pretty sure I'm going for the arch, the HD seat has a mount point in the rear center, I can hinge right off the arch and flip it open backwards.

I got my forks in and they are not black but kind of a gunmetal color, like I was going to paint the bike. Should look great. I need to find some 636 triple clamps now (52mm lower, 50mm upper), as well as calipers and axle, have not researched what all will fit. Would be nice to find another KZ front wheel and steering stem so I can build the whole front end without tearing mine apart until it's ready to swap.

My frame keeps shrinking. And now my rear tire is hanging out there flopping around.

Forks should look good eh?

Made some shock brackets. Little more trimming and a plate to weld on th underside. I cut out the old studs to reuse.

Brackets are tacked in. I got a little more height out of it and more lean angle on the shocks. Just what I was going for. I love the view from the rear quarter. The fender is just sitting there, I need to trim the plastic liner back and take about an inch more from the chrome part to sit back where I want.

I'm going to pick one of these to mount on top of the fender. Which looks best?

I'd say 1 for on top of the fender.

If you were going under the fender I'd say 2.

I was leaning towards 1 myself, but it's pretty small so I'd probably put two of them side by side.

I also like 2 and others have picked it, but I don't think under the fender would look right. If it was above the fender I'd lose the plate mount.

Speaking of which I haven't decided the best spot for the plate, I've narrowed it down to sideways on the chain guard or behind the fender, like a continuation of it. I don't want to clutter up the tail.

What if I did two number 1s on either side of the fender and doubled them as blinkers? I've never seen a metric with red signals but HD's do it all the time. I wonder though if a center is required on a bike?

Edit- Some newer Harleys only have the two tails like I described, no center. Seems like the way to go.

I'm running with it. I found matching amber lights for the front.

So goodies on the way. The above lights and all this:

14x4.5" fender x2

Grips

ZX14 front axle

Trailer light converter. Easiest way to combine separate turn and stop signals.

636 triples

07 CBR600RR calipers

True Frankenbike. At this point I have parts from 9 different makes/models.

dmarble, for tail lights both lights will need to have dual filaments to be used as stop/turn/tail lights. There is only 2 wires comming from the lights. If the body does not ground thru the mounting stem and one wire is the ground they will not work for all three functions (tail and combined stop/turn with the converter).

They are advertised as dual filament (fronts too) so they must ground through the mounting stud.
