Got the motor in today! yay! It's starting to look like a motorcycle now. Unfortunately I got quite a few bad scratches in the paint on my frame :( I put several layers of masking tape on the frame, but it did NOTHING to prevent damage.

I felt like no-talent hack after that...

I haven't had much time to work on it lately. I got distracted by getting married :) and buying another motorcycle B) DR650 loaded with goodies for my next adventure ride across Nevada!

I've had my engine in and out many times and found its really easy if you tip the engine on the points/clutch cover side with it propped on padded 2 X's, the slide the fame over the engine. You get a good view of where it needs to clear that way. Of course wheels and forks need to be off or it's unwieldy. Then of course there's the inevitable brain fart where you forget which side to tip and have a panic attack thinking you've permanently married the frame to the engine half way off (before painting fortunately, whew). Nothing a time out with a couple of oat sodas couldn't fix.

Fear not! There will be more to see, but you must be patient (like me)

I really want to have it on the road this summer... I'm having lots of big life changes right now and they tend to get in the way of my KZ time.
