Thanks.....replaced the fork seals, speedo drive & cable today. The gods smiled upon me and the new helmet that was suppose to be delivered Monday....showed up today. So after I finished putting the front end back together I took it for a spin. Now I can actually see how fast I'm going and the front suspension doesn't bottom out over every bump. But, now my smooth and quiet motor is making noise. Not sure if the cam chain tensioner loosened up or if I have a loose valve now.

I haven't done much with this project since last Sat. After I replaced the fork seals I decided to take it for a spin since my new helmet came in around noon Sat.I put about 5 miles on it and just before it started to get dark I took off from a light and rolled the throttle on to feel some boost.Pulled hard and felt really good, then as I slowed down to turn on my street I heard a noise. Its either a really loose valve or the rod knock is back.I got so disgusted about it I haven't even done anything with it since then.I really can't spend much more time on this one and need to get back to some others.So...until I have time to tear into the motor again, I guess its on hold.

And you are so close to finishing the Bike which is very beautiful. I'd go ahead and finish her up before you lose interest or allow her to set up too long.

A wise Biker once told me that an unfinished project bike will remain just that ... Unfinished.

Yes....very close.Just need to take a break from it.I've been getting really close now for a couple months...but something else always comes up.I have 2 other larger car projects that I'm now behind on because of this bike. I don't think I've ever had a finished project.Well...I guess they are considered finished when you sell them...lol.
