I did not notice any difference between the OE pistons and the phenolic pistons. Honestly, the Z1R brakes work poorly in both cases. I talk about this later in the thread I linked to.

Just wondering if you noticed any difference in the feel at the brake lever with these pistons fitted?

I did the master cylinder upgrade at the same time- and never rode the bike with the stock pistons so it would be tough to pinpoint specific areas of improvement.
