Thanks for the info...I think the CSR discs are a little smaller. These are definitely a bit over 10 5/8". Maybe the 650 or 400?

I just heard from someone with a KZ440 disc, and it looks like a match. Does anyone know if it fits other bikes too? I guess I'll post a classified ad for them. Thanks for all of the help. Too bad they don't fit the 1000. I think I could make a bracket and move the calipers, but it would be a lot easier to buy the right rotors! :side:

Update: I have been "negotiating" with the seller and he insists that these came off his 79 LTD 1000. He has now offered to sell me the forks too so the calipers line up with the rotors. Problem is, I am quite happy with my own forks. The ad stated that these were "from a 79 KZ1000 LTD", and technically they were. He doesn't seem to believe that they are from a 400 or 440. Is it at all possible that some LTD's may have had smaller rotors in 1979 (and different fork legs)? I'm guessing that someone put different forks on it before he bought it. Any opinions?

looking at the wear pattern on the rotor, seems someone put the wrong rotor on his bike before he got it. Not knowing any differently, he thought that was they way it was supposed to be. so the forks could be right, just with the wrong rotor. so even if he did sell you his forks, and you used your calipers, the rotor would still be too small. have him measure the distance from the center of the axle hole to the center of the first caliper mounting bolt. it's probably the same measurement you have, so changing the forks would not help you any. easier to get the right rotors than to start swaping everything else.

maybe get the vin from his bike and put it into buykawasaki.com and you will know which bike he is pulling parts from??

of course maybe the 79 1000 ltd is what he has. you probably need to have someone with the same bike 79 1000 ltd measure their equipment

and there are different part number between the 79 ltd and your bike for the rotors. lots to look at, but maybe hold off on blaiming the guy for misrepresenting his wares.

The rotors from the 1979 A and B models are the same kawasaki part number. You'll have to decide on what the seller is doing:blink:

76-80 KZ750 twin rotors are 10.5" in diameter, as are the 77-78 KZ1000, and at least the 79 KZ650SR, I just dug out my 18" caliper to measure them :)

So if yours are 10 7/8" diameter then you can eliminate the above models :)
