Hi All,
I have an amazing 1977 KZ750 that I can't ride cuz the starter died.
Any chance one of you out there has a motor they might want to part with?
Please shoot me a message.
Thank you!

yea, my mechanic says it runs fine but the motor is shot.  Can't find a starter motor anywhere...:-(

Do you have any other ideas?

You need to determine what is wrong with it before you decide repair/replace “shot” isn’t really a diagnosis!! If it was an auto parts store item for a regular car you would simply replace (after accurate diag) but a 50 year old import motorcycle is a different proposition

As others have indicated you should see if the issue is the starter or the battery. You can make a high current shunt for testing. I have posted this in the past and will point you to one of those posts instead of adding the info once again. Check out this post
