Tell me what you want, I'll take the pictures and email them to you.
The clutch cable broke while the guy was going over the bike to make sure it was safe for me to ride home (100 miles from where we're meeting). He's asking if I want him to cancel the sale because the bike is no longer rideable. I've got a trailer for transport; how hard is it to change a clutch cable on a ZN700?
Should I just give up on this? I know it's something of blasphemy, but I found a pretty decent deal on an '86 Honda VF500f (Interceptor) that only needs the fuel system and carbs cleaned. I'd prefer the Kawi, but it almost seems like too much hassle. If anyone has any experience with these bikes and can offer insights I'm all ears.

You lucky dog; I want a ZN so bad..
Don't think of it as "Hassle" think of it as "bonding".
Like someone else here has in their sig, Riding is reward for wrenching. And that 'only needs fuel system and carbs cleaned' -- what kind of saga will that turn into??? Resist the red... go with green...

You know, Rickman, you're right (except for the green... it's purple ). Screw the Honda. Besides, I hear balancing the carbs on a V4 is a pain in the ass and he's asking more than $1/CC for a nonrunning bike.
Hydro, I'll wait for a nice clear night, maybe even get the moon in the pic u2u me your email address so I can send it once I've taken it.
