Drag strip trip.

Time to take the Gpz motor to the drag strip as I haven't
had a chance since they've been closed for the winter.
If your in the centex area come on out and play a little.

The oldest continuously operating drag strip in Texas since about 1949 I think.

April first is an all bike day (Sunday)at the track
but their running their normal Friday night deal plus
Saturday then the all bike Sunday so the brew crew's
gonna go Saturday morning and play a little then camp out/party at the track.
Ordering a new rear tire and chain and sprockets tomorrow
then should be good to go.

Yummy... Post your times/speeds after the days events....

get in the 12.30's range.

New tire, sprocket's and chain and a tach my old ass can see
light up at shift time.

13.61 @85.49 Thinkin it went 13.90 @96 with
the old motor something ain't right.
Next pass 13.67@85.26. so put it up for the night
Got a beer, fired the grill and watched the girls drink beer.

Sunday morning rode around the pit's to warm it
up and stopped at buddy Beetle's camp.

After that was go make pass's.

13.07@95.87 with a 1.71 60 ft.
Ran 1.84 1.85 60 ft all day.

My motor's a bone stock low milage (8400)
83 Gpz 750 with the little carb's and the pipe.
With carb's and more gear this thing will go a lot faster
it just run's out of breath with the little carb's
but that's all I got right now.

That motor is close to were I'm headed with this one.
Game plan is 810 cc wiseco kit, ported and milled head
thinking send it to Larry C.
Cam's of some grind just not sure on what.
Wired George's 30 mm bored vm 26's.

clean set of 29 smooth bore's.



Broke down and goin to the sonic cleaner at work.

My KZ650 with Yoshimura 716cc kit Yoshimura R&T cams 29 smoothbores head work by a VW guy and Yoshimura pipe and struts no bar ran 12.23 all the time and a best of 12.12. I'd usually do 6 or 8 passes between 12.21 and 12.26.
