I'm accumulating the parts to rebuild the engine (and rest of the bike) in my 77 Z1000. I was fortunate enough to have Larry Cavanaugh prepare a head for me and send it to in Australia before his very unfortunate passing. I am trying to decide what cam to run. Tossing up between Web Cams 110's and Yoshimura S2 cams. I am waiting for some specs from Web Bike on the Yoshimura offering, but I think the two options are similar. Rest of combo will be 10.25:1 compression, 1075cc's Wiseco pistons, LC's head and I have a choice between 34mm flat slides or 29mm smooth-bores for the period correct look.
Anyone running something similar that can offer some feedback on ride-ability and performance of these cams and also maybe the smooth-bores.
Thanks

Fast road cams around 410 lift is where you want to be.
Most run around 110 lobe centers and will give a good spread of power for the road.
They are also safe for running shim on top..

Thanks Zed. The Web Cam 110 has a little more lift than the Yoshimura S2 cams and I think both are similar duration but hard to tell as not both spec'd at the same lift. I have asked Web Bike for the seat timing figures to compare them.
