1978 KZ650 Piston rings Wiseco on Z1 Enterprises

Wiseco sells replacement piston rings for a 1978 Kawasaki KZ650 on Z1 Enterprises. When I put the bike model in, Wiseco's 64mm piston rings come up. But it appears the STANDARD piston ring size is 62mm. Dumb question, but the 64mms wont fit right?

I feel so dumb. I ordered them trusting what Z1 had on their site.

I wonder if these aftermarket ones you listed will stand the test of time?

I always prefer OEM if available but there's many good aftermarket brands.
The IMD ones are ok.
The partzilla are genuine.

I use rings from the Nippon Piston Ring (RPR) company of Japan.

Ebay seller GoergeFix helped me out, reasonable prices, compared to OEM.


I really like the green/red color marking on the oil ring expander, which indicates clearly where the "butt join" is, and shows clearly where the upper and lower oil rings gap must be.
