I want to use a one pc head gasket on my stock 78 kz 1000 LTD . Will a the Cometic 72mm C8018 work on it? Can not seem to find any 70mm sizes.

Yes! Most people go to a one piece when replacing the head gasket.
Cometic is one of the more popular choices and is mostly all i use.
The 72mm C8018 works just fine on stock bores.
