Resources like "Partzilla" will give you a part number and potentially details of other models that use the same part to help in your search (you can also type the part number into google once you have it and see what comes up)
to be honest with the amount of potential debris that is in there it would make sense to do a full strip given the investment you are making (it's a job you only want to do once)

It is still available new. If you pull it up at Partzilla, there is a Related Fitment chart that shows all of the models that use that part.

Really expensive part! I’ve found a (what they claim) is a direct fit and better replacement, as it is just one large magnet rather that 5.

Looks like a viable option, what is feedback like on the site for the company's products. The problem you have is that due to the weight unless you can source one relatively locally shipping will be expensive so if this price includes shipping it's worth considering (IMHO)
