Broke a cam cap on a 78 kz1000... Now what?

And shim over bucket would be correct. I’m not aware of any Kz1000, j, or MKII that are factory SUB.

I caught a bunch of crap from my riding friends for rejetting (detuning) the carbs to make better gas mileage and changing the sprockets for lower highway RPM. The thing has a four gallon tank! I went from low 30's mpg to over 45. Some oomph did disappear but wasn't really noticeable until the sprocket changes.

     The shim under bucket may have been personal modifications then
