82 KZ305 v XT225 One has to go

I own 3 bikes and want to get down to 2. My big bike is a 85 V65 Magna. I'm keeping this one for my longer rides. But the KZ305 and XT225 share the same daily run about duties. I live near the junction of two interstate highways, so when I need jump on an interstate for a few miles, the KZ305 is better. The XT225 is WOT scary. When I want to jump curbs I'm afraid of tearing up the exhaust on the KZ305, but the XT225 is great for curb jumping.
I'm leaning toward keeping the KZ305 for some other reasons, (looks, lower seat height), but I hate loosing the bit of hooliganism that can be done on the little dual sport.

Oh yeah - dual-sport bikes like the XTs are pretty good at that.

I learned to ride on an XT250 and may have hopped a curb or two from time to time.

I'd keep the XT.
The 305 is a hand grenade just waiting to pull its own pin.
They are notorious for blowing their cranks and it's not a matter of if but when.
