900.00 would be ok but 750.00 would be better since you can't hear it run... looks like a pretty easy fixer!! good luck........

78 kz1000a2 with ltd parts on it,looks like right motor to me anyway.check to see if the motor vin and the frame vin are the same as on the title...ie ..matching..it looks like a 1979 ltd 1000 rolling bike with a 1977-78 kz1000 motor in it to me...
the paper work and bike numbers are important later when the $ registration part comes and can factor in "NOW" to the sale/offer price...
good luck
id offer him $700 for it and see what he says
Still recovering, some days are better than others.

Rotate around insuring not seized... Take a look at the plugs.... Drop the float bowls... Rust in the tank, electrical look in decent shape.... Coils not cracked, plug wires stiff or flexible, Rust on frame, battery box, chain... Sprocket teeth worn or in good shape etc....
Paint/body seem to be in fairly decent shape in the image, here in AZ if above seems fairly decent, $600 - $800 yup. Back east, I think some of the other guys picked up better deals...

I guess it is safe to now say that this was my bike. He liked it but wasn't sure if $900 was too much or not. I told him to post the bike on here and see what you guys thought. I asked that he not mention my name so he could get a honest opinion. I didn't hear back from him so I sold it to a guy in MD who wanted a 77 to do a Goose replica build. I sent him video of the bike and he jumped on the $900 asking price which I thought was fair. He will likely sell the new Vance and Hines exhaust which will help some with the build cost. Thanks for all the advice you guys gave even though it did not end up in a sale. I will be sure to steer the new owner to this crazy forum.
Looking at the first picture of this bike I noticed the front axle clamps appear to have a gap at the front. Below is a clip from the 1977 KZ650C1 assembly manual. I suspect the 1977 KZ1000 has a similar arrangement, but I don't know for sure. You may want to pass this along to the buyer advising him to compare the installation of the front axle clamps on his new bike to the installation instructions in a KZ1000 manual. Safety first. Ed
