Was over at my old friend Jim Mangus, "Cylinder Head Jim" Ran Top Fuel Nitro 1980's into the 90's Old school 6.5's 210mph.
I cleanded up a MarkII head. Ground the seats and valves. Love the newer nitrated valves in the Mark II heads.
Jim was a cheapskate! We ran on a budget! 80% nitro when Elmer and Larry Spiderman ran 95% Nitro.
We got a whole summer out of a set of pistons 1327cc.
This Fueler had a 40 spoke wire wheel. Trued and tuned, the spoke wheel was as strong as anything!
Good Ol' days!

That's the plan....if work allows. Not sure on what though. Got busy and started tearing things apart and then life interfered...hoping to get started up again soon. Been working on trailer to get it ready. Trailer "stuff" is stored in shop so until I get that stuff back in trailer no room to work on bikes. Have been deciding on what to do to bikes....wheels, paint, engine and other mods want/need to do. Will be frame up on everything though need to get at it. Running out of time before our season starts. Don't want a year like last year where racing took a backseat...hell....may have to retire just to get time...lol Maybe 40 years is long enough.....

I'll throw in my old pics out screwing off in Las Vegas back in the day. '77 KZ 1000, RB Racing pipe (the bomb at the time), jetted & Blue Goose coils IIRC. Traded it in for a '83 GS750ES...
Amazing we even had a camera.

Nice pics. Is the linkage and other components on the bike in the first picture an anti-dive device for when the front brakes are applied?
Thanks, Ed
