I do now- I always have commuted or done errands etc by bike- but this is the first year for the Z1 since the 80s! Got everything rung out this am, it is running like a champ, no problems really at all, except one sticky front brake lever- but outside that- it just ran better and better during my 10-20 mile test ride!

120 jets seems to be the stuff!

Will post pics of my two up ride tonight, soon as I get home!!!

I ride everyday as long as it isn't raining or snowing.

However, I don't ride my KZ..... I ride my Triumph. I save the the KZ for the fun rides.....

I've been riding the KLR a lot more since gas topped $3 a gallon. My problem is my day starts at 0600 with PT, so I have to ride in in shorts and T shirt (Joe Rocket stuff on top and my combat boots on as foot gear) then shower and change at the office into uniform. It's kind of a pain, but I'm in a new job situation now where I actually have a convenient place to shower and a wall locker to keep stuff in.

If I ever get my life planned out well enough, I'll take the truck in once a week to drop off enough uniforms and other stuff to keep the crap I have to carry on the bike to a minumum every day. The good thing is, I can carry a lot of crap on that KLR and if I configure it with the saddle bags I have, I can carry a lot more. Carrying stuff isn't really the problem, forgetting to pack something I'll need is.

I live about ten miles out from work, but since the security measures after 9/11 kicked in, it's kind of a pain in the ass to go on and off post, so I try to no have to run back to the house if I can help it.

Originally an '82 GPz550 when I lived in L.A. and worked at Outrider (now Hammyboy's). When I moved back to Kansas it was an '82 GPz750 that was ELR cloned. Then I bought two 1000 Js that were close to being ELR clones and gave one to a friend for some work that he did on my 'beast' and my buddy from R.I. bought my 750 clone from me, leaving me with one ELR clone. Since that bike got to where it fooled almost everybody I just had to modify it, so now it's up on blocks and the new triples are being made for the ZX7R stuff even as we speak...hopefully next week???

...but for now the commuter bike is...my wife's 650 Hawk :pinch:

...man I've got too many irons in the fire...
